The Community Foundation is home to two supporting organizations. Both have missions to make life better for specific groups in our county. Through their relationships with us, each qualifies as a public charity, has its own board, and recommends or awards grants based on its specific mission.
Amazing X Charitable Trust
The Amazing X Charitable Trust exists to support people with disabilities and address general charitable needs in our community. It was established in 1978 by members of the Gerber family.
Grant requests are accepted for projects or programs that:
- Serve people with disabilities
- Address general charitable needs
- Are innovative, collaborative, and have a significant, measurable impact

Bridging Generations Fund
The purpose of the Bridging Generations Fund is to make grants to benefit and enrich life for older adults in Newaygo County. Grant requests are accepted for projects or programs that promote:
- Physical health of older adults in our community
- Mental/emotional well-being of older adults and their caregivers
- Social enrichment and prevention of social isolation
- Basic human services for older adults
