We strive to reduce poverty and support family well-being.
Thousands of Newaygo County residents have difficulty meeting basic needs such as housing, food, and healthcare. We seek to advance social and economic mobility for households at or below the ALICE threshold. ALICE stands for asset limited, income constrained, employed.
To meet this goal we focus on:
- Filling gaps to meet people’s most basic needs
- Developing individual skills, knowledge, and habits (financial, soft skills, etc.)
- Building social supports, mentorships, and networks
- Strengthening family well-being
- Supporting human dignity, purpose, and self-sufficiency
