- Seeking a career in agriscience, or a discipline supporting agriculture. For example, an applicant seeking a degree in biology with the intent of working in animal husbandry, or an applicant seeking a business degree with the intent of returning to the area to pursue a career in agriculture management.
- Graduating Senior from a Newaygo County high school or home school
- Students must attend an accredited four-year college or university, community college, or technical/trade program
- Participate in AgriScience Education through their local district or the NC Career –Tech Center
