Byrne Hope Scholarship Fund

To be awarded to a graduate of Fremont High School or a resident of Newaygo County and a graduate of Western Michigan Christian High School attending Hope College

  • The scholarship is to be paid the second semester of college after receiving first semester transcripts

 

 

Jud and Evie Afman Scholarship

To be awarded to a graduate from a high school that is a member of Christian Schools International (i.e. Western Michigan Christian High School)

  • Newaygo County resident
  • Preference to a student pursuing a health related career
  • Secondary preference to a student pursuing a business degree

Charles and Melanie DeKryger Family Scholarship

To be awarded to a graduate of a Newaygo County high school or Western Michigan Christian High School who has also graduated from Fremont Christian School

  • Pursuing a career in the medical field

Hertel Family Scholarship

To be awarded to one graduating high school senior who is a Newaygo County resident who will attend Calvin College

  • Demonstrated academic achievement by maintaining a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Preferences to students with financial need
  • Participation in school and community activities

Breuker Family Scholarship

To be awarded to a Newaygo County resident and graduating high school senior from WMCHS with preference to students attending colleges affiliated with Christian Reformed Church or Reformed Church of America such as Calvin University or Hope College

  • Committed to Christian education, including having attended Fremont Christian Schools and Western Michigan Christian High School
  • Participation in community and volunteer activities
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrated academic success ranking among the top 50% of his/her class
