To be awarded to graduates of Newaygo High School

  • Preference to students entering their junior year of college
  • Preference to students that declare a major in business or a STEM field
  • Preference to students with a college GPA of 3.25 or better
  • Preference to students who have been employed after high school
  • Preference to students who have participated in two or more years of athletics in high school
  • Preference to students with demonstrated outdoor hobbies including marksmanship, hunting, or fishing
  • Financial need is not a criterion

 

To be awarded to students from Newaygo High School
  • Preference to students attending Central Michigan University
  • Preference to students involved in extracurricular activities such as athletics or music
  • Preference to students with financial need or those who have experienced a personal hardship

To be awarded to students from Fremont and Newaygo High Schools

  • Preference to students pursuing a career in the medical field
  • Secondary preference to students pursuing a career in hospital administration or psychiatry

To be awarded to one student from Grant High School and one student from Newaygo High School

  • Preference to students pursuing an entrepreneurship or small business degree
  • Secondary preference to students pursuing a business degree

To be awarded to a graduating senior from Fremont High School and Newaygo High School

  • Preference to students with GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Preference to students with financial need

To be awarded to graduates of Newaygo High School

  • Preference for applicants pursuing a career in the medical field
  • Preference to applicants involved in extracurricular activities
  • Preference to applicants with financial need
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must maintain a minimum of 2.5 GPA in an accredited certificate program, trade program, college, or university

To be awarded to a graduating senior from Newaygo and/or Grant high school

  • Preference to underrepresented applicants (i.e.: those of ethnic, racial minority, and/or disability)
  • Preference to applicants with a G.P.A of 2.5 or above
  • Preference to applicants with financial need
  • Preference to applicants not eligible for Newaygo County Area Promise Zone funds
  • Preference to applicants with good attendance record and citizenship

To be awarded to a Newaygo High School graduating senior pursuing the study of and a career in mental or physical health

To be awarded to a graduating high school senior from Newaygo High School

  • Demonstrates outstanding academic performance with a GPA of 3.75 or higher
  • Participated in extracurricular activities other than athletics

To be awarded to a graduate of Newaygo High School

  • Demonstrated financial need and lack of alternate resources
  • The scholarship may be used for tuition only

To be awarded to a graduating high school senior from Newaygo High School

  • Resident of Newaygo in grades 9-12
  • Preference given to students with middle-to-low income
