Scholarships Available
To be awarded to a graduating senior, a currently enrolled college student, or a continuing education student who has graduated from a Mecosta County high school and plans to attend Ferris State University
- Pursue a career in education
- Intend to teach in the Mecosta County area after graduation
- Have realistic career goals and a plan to achieve them
- Demonstrated academic achievement and experience in chosen/related field with GPA meeting the standards set by the program the student desires to pursue
- Potential for future success
To be awarded to a graduate of Fremont High School or a resident of Newaygo County and a graduate of Western Michigan Christian High School attending Hope College
- The scholarship is to be paid the second semester of college after receiving first semester transcripts
To be awarded to a graduate of Hesperia High School
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be involved in community and/or school service
- Demonstrate leadership ability
- Recipients must be accepted and financially committed (paid housing reservation or other holding fee) to a four-year college or university or a two-year community college transfer program
- Recipients must be committed to future goals by demonstrating a strong potential for success
To be awarded to a graduate of Evart High School
- Preference to students planning a career in health care or education
To be awarded to a graduate of a Newaygo County high school or Western Michigan Christian High School who has also graduated from Fremont Christian School
- Pursuing a career in the medical field
To be awarded to a graduate of Fremont High School
- Preference given to applicants who are pursuing a degree in automotive, building trades, or special education
To be awarded to a graduate of Hesperia High School
- Applicant attending Ferris State University
To be awarded to graduates of each Newaygo County public high school
- Demonstrate financial need
- Academic achievement and potential for future academic success
To be awarded to a graduate of Newaygo High School
- Pursuing an education degree
To be awarded to a Mecosta County student
- Applicants need to be a graduate of a Mecosta County high school
- Applicants can be a traditional or non-traditional student
- Preference for financial need
To be awarded to a graduate of Fremont Public High School

To be awarded to a graduate of Fremont High School
- Preference given to applicants who are special education students or applicants who are pursuing a degree in special education, nursing, or science
To be awarded to a graduate of White Cloud High School
- Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement by having a GPA in the range of 3.0 to 3.7
- Applicants must demonstrate a benefit to the White Cloud area and Newaygo County by being involved in school or community activities such as sports or volunteering
- The top 5% of the graduating class are ineligible for this scholarship
- Preference will be given to students attending Michigan State University and those not eligible for other scholarships
- Financial need is not a criterion for this scholarship.
To be awarded to a graduate of Reed City High School who intends to pursue study in pre-med, pre-dental, or nursing
- Academic achievement with a GPA of 3.5 or higher on 4.0 scale
- 3.5 GPA or higher in science courses
- History of service to community through school, church, or other service
- Four-year college or university in Michigan
To be awarded to a graduate of Fremont High School pursuing a business degree with preference to those entering accounting or bookkeeping career
- Financial need
To be awarded to a student attending Ferris State University
- The scholarship will be awarded to a FSU College of Technology or Horticulture student
- Minimum GPA of 2.75
- Financial information is required, but will not be the final determinant in awarding a scholarship
To be awarded to graduating high school seniors or college students accepted at an accredited college in a health-related field of undergraduate or graduate study
- Graduates of a Mecosta County high school
- Academic achievement
- Realistic goals for a career in the health field as well as a plan for achieving these goals
- Financial need when that can be determined
To be awarded to a deserving Newaygo County High School graduate who is seeking post-secondary education
To be awarded to a graduating senior and/or graduate of Reed City Public Schools
- Applicants shall plan to attend, or be attending Ferris State University
- Applicants shall have demonstrated commitment to community through community service
- Preference given to applicants pursuing information systems or information technology
- Preference given to applicants that were/are members of Boy Scouts of America
To be awarded to a graduate of a Mecosta County high school
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.6 or higher
- Applicant must be enrolled in pre-medical program or in medical school and planning on obtaining a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy
- Preference for a renewable scholarship award
- Preference to students attending Aquinas College
- Realistic career goal and a plan to achieve the goal
- Participation in community and volunteer service

To be awarded to a Newaygo County resident or a Newaygo County high school graduate
- Scholarship is intended to benefit students pursuing a vocational trade with preference to students pursuing training and a career in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) or health care
To be awarded to a graduate of a Mecosta County high school and entering their junior or senior year at Ferris State University
- Applicants need to have a current GPA of 3.0 or better
- Applicants must have financial need
- Preference give to students that work or take an internship opportunity during the summer semester
To be awarded to a graduate of Newaygo County who intends to pursue a career in healthcare
- Financial need
To be awarded to graduates of Hesperia High School or homeschool graduates within the Hesperia School District

Special consideration will be given to students who attend and are active in a King James Bible believing church including Rothbury Community Church

- Preference to a student pursuing a career in veterinary science

- Demonstrated financial need and lack of alternate resources
- The scholarship may be used for tuition only
To be awarded to a Big Rapids High School graduating senior
- Realistic career goals and a plan to achieve those goals
- Participation in community/volunteer service
- Consideration will be given to those planning to enter the field of education

To be awarded to a graduate of a Newaygo County High School
- Demonstrated financial need

- Involvement in extracurricular activities or volunteer work
To be awarded to an Osceola County high school graduate
- Participation in extracurricular and community activities
- Rank in the top 25 percent of graduating of his/her class
- Preference is given to students pursuing a degree in education
- Preference is given to students entering their sophomore or junior year in college
- Preference is given to students who show financial need
- Constructive attitude
- Ability to relate well to others
- High moral character
To be awarded to students enrolled in Ferris State University’s College of Technology
- Preference should be given to students enrolled in the manufacturing, design, or graphic arts department
- Preference to students with a physical disability
- GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 scale
- Financial need shall be considered but it will not be the final determinant
To be awarded to a graduate of a Newaygo County high school
To be awarded to students who graduate from White Cloud High School
- Preference to students pursuing a career in education

To be awarded to a Newaygo County student in the Newaygo County Post area (Newaygo County) who is interested in pursuing an education and career in law enforcement

To be awarded to a deserving student(s) of Newaygo County

To be awarded to a graduate of a Newaygo County high school
- Must rank in top 20% of class
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or volunteer work
To be awarded to a Newaygo County student
- Preference to those pursuing an agricultural or conservation career or work in public administration, particularly in planning and zoning
- Participation in community and volunteer service, such as 4-H or FFA
- Involvement in extracurricular activities
- Demonstrated financial need
