Community Grants

Each year, we award a diverse variety of grants to fabulous organizations throughout our community.

Fremont Area Community Foundation has two general grant rounds each year. Applications for community grants are due March 1 and September 1.

Eligible agencies must be located in, or directly serve, the people of Newaygo County. (Those seeking grant funding from one of our three geographic affiliate foundations in Lake, Mecosta, or Osceola counties, can find out more here.)

Nonprofit organizations and public agencies can apply for funding from the Community Foundation using our general grantmaking guidelines (our guidelines are currently being updated and will be presented at the January 17 workshop).

Community grants should address one of our focus areas:

  • Community and economic development
  • Education
  • Natural resources
  • Nonprofit sustainability
  • Poverty to prosperity

Visit our community investment section to determine how your program aligns with our goals. All grant requests in this area must adhere to the student trip policy (PDF) and the technology policy (PDF).

We encourage you to read our grantmaking priorities and talk with Amy Moore before submitting an application.
