Mission
The mission of the Osceola County Community Foundation is to make Osceola County a better place to live and work by enhancing the quality of life and building a strong community spirit. OCCF was established in 1990 and makes grants from a collection of permanent endowments to benefit the community. These funds support a variety of important causes and community needs and are made possible through the generosity of local individuals, families, and organizations.

Giving
Through the generosity of the community, OCCF currently has more than $9 million in total assets. Donors can contribute to existing endowment funds that support a variety of causes, including unrestricted funds that provide flexibility to meet emerging needs. Donors can also establish funds to support a field of interest, scholarships, a specific organization, or a range of interests. No matter the type or size of your gift, OCCF can help you find a way to impact the community needs that touches your heart.

Grants
Since 1991, OCCF has awarded more than $1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations across Osceola County in the areas of arts and culture, education, environment, health, and social welfare.
The OCCF board of directors reviews grant applications twice each year and recommends grants.
Past grant awards have funded library materials, hazardous waste collection, cancer screenings, and outreach programs for at-risk youth. In 2020, $137,348 in grants have been awarded so far.

Grant Timeline
The Osceola County Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council (OYAC) also accepts grant applications for projects that enhance the learning experience for youth in Osceola County. The application deadline is March 1.*
*If a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, applications are due by midnight on the next business day.
Scholarships
Multiple scholarships are offered each year to high school seniors who live in or attend high school in Osceola County. The online scholarship application is open from October 1 to March 1. Students should apply for scholarships with their senior class cohort, not their 13th year. Learn more about available scholarships and how to apply here. To apply, you will need the following information:
- Your cumulative GPA, class size, and class rank (class size and rank can be estimated)
- A list of your academic or extracurricular activities since ninth grade
- Your SAT score
- A 400-word essay addressing your goals, activities, accomplishments, and more (details can be found in the application)
- Your employment history
Scholarships are also available to current college students from Osceola County. The online application for current college students is open October 1 to March 1.
